Kia and Hyundai boost Euro carbuilding

Kia's new Venga is responsible for a more than two-thirds increase in the carmaker's European sales in the first five months of this year.

With more than 19,300 units sold over the period, the small MAV is built at the company's plant in the Czech Republic. It was designed and engineered by Kia in Germany.

Meanwhile, strong performance by Kia and sister brand Hyundai helped the overall European carbuilding sector to have its second best month in May, up 7 percent.
