The new compact Range Rover will get its debut later this week at a special celebration of the brand's 40th birthday to be held at Kensington Palace in London.
The new model will also be officially named at the event, which will be attended by celebrities from the worlds of fashion, design, film, music and art.
The new model is based on the LRX concept car, and is aimed at bringing the Range Rover brand into one of the most important segments for premium cars.
A 2WD option (in addition to the 4WD derivative) for the new compact Range Rover will emit less than 130g/km of CO2 – making it the lightest, most fuel efficient Range Rover ever.
