Half of Brits don't clean cars often

There's a bit of an impression that British car owners wash and vac their automotive pride and joy every weekend, but that's not necessarily true according to a recent survey.

Online car retailer Autoquake asked 1,000 motorists about their car cleaning habits and found that more than half leave their car unwashed for more than six months at a time.

Women owners, surprisingly, fared worse than men. But 7 percent of them were prepared to pay someone else to wash their cars, while just 4 percent of men were.

Over three in ten said they wash their cars inside and out once in six months. Some 4 percent admitted to never cleaning their cars at all.
