The car, which targets the segment led by Toyota's Avensis, replaces the 407 and the 607.
Its powertrains will include Peugeot's new generation e-HDI and HYbrid4 diesel hybrid technologies. But the standard diesel and petrol engines will offer power outputs between 112-204hp. ESP will be standard.
It will be available in saloon and wagon variants.
