The brand's entry in the supermini segment has powertrain options of 1.2 and 1.4 turbocharged petrol engines, and a 1.6 diesel engine, with power outputs ranging from 85-125hp.
There are three grades available in the range.
The car was debuted at a function in the Audi Centre in Ballsbridge, Dublin, recently taken over by the Charles Hurst Group.
Gavin Wilson (21) from Thurles, Co Tipperary, was presented with an A1 at the event after winning it in the Audi Chase, an online competition which culminated in finalists taking part in a timed 'treasure hunt' in Dublin City. Over 6,000 people entered the competition.
