Average speed cameras cut deaths

An average speed camera system is credited with reducing deaths and serious injuries on a 22km stretch of road in the UK.

The road is the A14 between the Spittals Interchange and Girton in Cambridgeshire.

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Road Safety Partnership and the Speed Check Services company were jointly awarded a Prince Michael Road Safety Award for the achievement.
