It shares its platform and powertrains with the new A7. It will be offered with a hybrid drive. The main engine will be a 2.0 211hp turbocharged petrol unit in tandem with a 45hp electric motor.
The hybrid will be able to travel up to three kilometres on electric drive alone at an average speed of 45km/h.
The current model has been on sale for six years.
