The Venga and new Sportage have been credited with raising Kia's European sales by 4 percent in the first 11 months of the year.
This is against a backgrop of declining overall car sales in Europe, with Fiat, Toyota and Ford registering the biggest drops in the last eight months, following the ending of a number of car scrappage schemes in several markets.
Globally, Kia's sales are up 37 percent, and the Korean brand has increased an earlier forecast of unit sales to reach 2.1 million units. That's against 1.5 million units in 2009. In Europe, sales to date are 241,658.
