Ford Ka range now with new Stop/Start

From this month, all new Ka models will come with Stop/Start technology as standard, that helps to save fuel and reduce emissions.

The Ka range, consisting of low emission diesel and petrol models under the Studio and Edge series badge, is Ford's first model to feature this technology that turns off the car's engine once the car has stopped and is in neutral for 0.5 seconds so saving on fuel and emissions.

This technology can save up to €350 a year on fuel for a car with an average mileage of 10,000km (petrol model) in the urban cycle. The annual fuel saving for a diesel model with an average mileage of 15,000km would be €275 (urban cycle).

Studio and Edge models come with a choice of 1.2 petrol or a 1.3 TDCi diesel engine, both with VRT Band A C02 emissions. The Ka Studio 1.2 petrol and Studio 1.3 diesel retails from €11,115 and €12,900 respectively.
