Although the car won't officially debut until the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, Opel will start taking orders for its new Astra GTC coupe from early June, writes Brian Byrne.
The car is closely based on a concept which was shown at Paris last autumn, which was powered by a 2.0 turbocharged petrol engine. The pricing and powertrain choices for the general European market will be announced on 7 June.
The 3-door car will have a wide stance, and is strongly sculpted, especially at the rear. The version shown here is wearing Vauxhall badging, under which the GTC will be sold in the UK.
