Citroen's new DS4 now on sale here
Citroen's new DS4 has gone on sale here priced from €23,995-29,895, writes Trish Whelan.
This is the second model in the D5 line.
The DS4 will be powered by a 1.6 diesel engine here outputting 110 and 160bhp, but a 200bhp petrol 6-speed version will be available as a special order,
Diesels range from tax Band A to B, while the petrol, priced from at €29,895, is in Band C.
Three grades are offered, Dsign, Dstyle and Dsport.
The car has head-turning good looks, designed as a sleek coupe but with 5-door flexibility and a raised stance which provides for a better view of the road ahead as well as ease in getting in and out. It sits five adults in comfort.
Among the features is a large panoramic windscreen similar to that in the Citroen C3. Boot space is generous at 359 litres, increasing to 385 using the under floor storage.
The car is mostly aimed at 'affluent and confident' males aged 40-50 years, most likely to be empty nesters and people who want the design and quality in their car to reflect their social status.
