The 2,000,000th second-generation Fiat Panda has just rolled off the production line at the Fiat Auto Poland plant in Tychy in Poland.
The Panda was launched in 2003 and marketed in 76 countries worldwide, including Russia, Mexico and Japan. The new Panda was crowned European Car of the Year in 2004 and continues to be one of the brand's most successful models. Across Europe, it still outsells all of its A-Segment rivals with a 16.6 per cent market share for the first six months of 2011.
The Tychy plant has to date built 6.2 million vehicles and is one of the most modern plants in the automotive industry.
The two-millionth Panda produced there is a CrossPanda 1.3 MultiJet finished in Pasodoble Red.
