Toyota has given its Hilux Pickup a bit of a refresh for the 2012 model year in European markets, writes Brian Byrne, with new exterior tweaks and some extra power in the engine.
As well as changes to the bumpers, grille, bonnet and headlamps, there are also interior upgrades including darker and more consistent material colours and some extra silver detailing.
The 2.5 D-4D gets an extra 24 horses to 144hp, at the same time gaining improved efficiency to 7.3L/100km (nearly 39mpg) and emissions down to 193g/km.
