Among the official transport vehicles involved in ferrying the top golfers at the British Open 2011, taking place at Royal St George's Golf Club at Sandwich, is the Lexus RX 450h.
This Lexus is the choice of top US players Mark O'Meara (pictured, winner of the 1998 Open and Masters titles), and his fellow American Nick Watney, currently 10th in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Both players are Lexus brand ambassadors in the US, together with Charles Howell III (USA) and Australian Jason Day, also competing in The Open.
The full hybrid luxury crossover has near-silent performance when running in all-electric EV mode, with the added benefits of zero petrol consumption and tailpipe emissions.
