Lexus to reveal new GS in August

The fourth-generation Lexus GS will be revealed at special conference at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on 18 August. Lexus say it will open a new chapter in the history of the brand, writes Trish Whelan.

The car will feature a new distinctive front grille and bold styling that will be applied to all future Lexus vehicles.

The new GS has also been engineered to provide a more engaging and dynamic driving experience and high level of refinement, with superior levels of comfort for the driver and passengers.

Lexus Europe sold 30,411 cars last year, an increase of 12 per cent versus 2009. Vehicles equipped with Lexus Hybrid Drive (R$X 450h, GS 450h, LS 600h and LS 600h L) accounted for over 60 per cent of sales in Western Europe.

This year, Lexus expects to increase its sales with the new CT 200h, the first full hybrid vehicle in the premium compact segment.
