Muller strikes back and cuts point gap in Donington!

The Chevrolet team is now a steamroller and the drivers are re-writing the WTCC book of records.

The Cruzes posted another 1-2-3 in Race 1, and a 1-2 in Race 2 in Rounds 13 & 14 at Donington Park, the home of the RML team.

Yvan Muller took a double win, in both instances ahead of Rob Huff, and the gap between the Frenchman and the Brit in the Drivers' Championship has now been reduced to 15 points.

Alain Menu seems relegated in the role of the 'third man' having lost more points from his team-mates; despite finishing third in Race 1 and 5th in Race 2. Franz Engstler had his best weekend ever in WTCC, winning both races in the Yokohama Trophy and claiming his first overall podium in the championship.

Chevrolet has now further extended its lead in the Manufacturers' standings ahead of the German round of the WTCC at Oschersleben on 31st July for rounds 15 and 16, the last before the summer break.
