New Yaris on the way

Here's a peek at Toyota's New Yaris which comes with a more dynamic design as well as improved quality.

This third generation Yaris will appeal both to technology-focused customers and those looking for the same high quality as in the current model.

New Yaris continues the existing engines: 1.0 and 1.33 petrol and a 1.4 D-4D turbodiesel. Fuel consumption in the 1.0 petrol has been improved by four per cent to 58.9mpg while C02 emissions are down by seven per cent to 111g/km.

The 1.33 VVT-i engine generated 98bhp and has a fuel economy of 56.5mpg and C02 emissions of 118g/km; while the 1.4 D-4D engine sees its combined cycle fuel economy improved by seven per cent to 72.4mpg and C02 emissions six per cent lower at 104g/km.

We'll have to wait for the Irish grades and prices, but there will be four grades offered elsewhere, T2, TR, SR and T Spirit. First deliveries in some markets are from mid-September. Prices in the UK are from £11,170-£15,385.
