New B-Class reveal
With first deliveries scheduled to start in November, Mercedes-Benz will debut its new generation B-Class at Frankfurt in three weeks' time, writes Brian Byrne.
Described as a 'sports tourer', the new car is lower than the current model, and features a more upright seat position that offers more space inside. The company claims the car has more legroom in the back than even the S-Class and E-Class.
There are new petrol and diesel engines, and transmissions will include new manual and dual-clutch systems. The 4-cylinder petrol engines are turbocharged and mark the arrival of a brand new series of M-B engines.
