New Panda details revealed
Fiat has releases first pictures of its new generation Panda, Europe's best-selling small car, writes Brian Byrne.
The car—the launch of which was delayed from last year—looks similar to the current model, but is longer and wider, and has a more rounded profile.
Design elements include a front end style similar to the Fiat 500.
The new car has more boot space, and there's also more leg- and shoulders room for rear seat passengers.
The new Panda will debut at Frankfurt. The car will come only with front-wheel-drive at launch early next year, but an all-wheel-drive version will be rolled out next summer.
Power will come from new versions of Fiat's TwinAir 900c 2-cylinder engine with 65/85hp. There will also be two 4-cylinder engines, a 69hp 1.2 petrol and a 75hp 1.3.
