Peugeot beauty for Frankfurt
Any international motor show can depend on Peugeot to produce pieces of automotive beauty, writes Brian Byrne, and it looks like the upcoming Frankfurt extravaganza is no exception.
The headliner from the Lion brand will be this HX1 concept, which is a 6-seater built along MPV lines but with the style format of a sleek coupe.
The concept also showcases Peugeot's HYbrid4 powertrain, in this instance a 204hp 2.2 diesel combined with a 95hp electric motor. It will have plug-in charging capability.
Peugeot will also feature its 508 RXH, a diesel hybrid version of its 508 SW but wider and with the possibility of all-terrain capability. It has a claimed fuel consumption in excess of 67mpg equivalent, and CO2 emissions of 109g/km.
