Setting the record straight

Regular readers may have noticed my comment of some weeks ago that I wasn't able to access the Eircom Hotspot on my password account airside in Terminal 2 Dublin, writes Brian Byrne.

I did wonder if DAA had nobbled the facility to gain some extra euros, and said I’d investigate.

Well, this morning I was flying out again and found that I could log on without difficulty. So that previous experience was just a glitch on the day.

Thing is, I did pose the question to DAA's public affairs people, by leaving a message on their answering system. A couple of days later a real person came back to me to ask details of my query, which I provided.

They haven't responded yet. If anyone is talking to that office, tell them from me it’s OK.
