A reputation for reliability enjoyed by current Mazda models got another boost this week when top German auto magazine Auto Bild gave the Mazda3 top billing after a two-year endurance test.
After being driven for 100,000kms, the car had only one defective item, a plastic clip on the luggage compartment cover.
The Mazda3 joins sibling models Mazda6 and Mazda5 on AB's list of 'worry free' cars.
The Mazda3 is the brand's best selling model in Ireland. A refreshed version will go on sale in January 2012.
