Fitting extras as standard gives E-Class a boost

Mercedes-Benz has given its 2012 E-Class models a boost by taking a range of optional extras and fitting them as standard features.

Valued in total at just over €7,000, the additions include full leather upholstery, a parktronic and park guidance system, heated front seats, media interface with audio streaming, alarm, 17-inch alloys, LED lights and an ECO stop/start function.

The sale price of the entry-level E200 CDI remains unchanged at €42,130 ex works, with a road tax of €156 per annum.

Coming just over two years after the new E-Class was introduced, this improvement is seen by Mercedes-Benz as giving a valuable enhancement to a range that remains the backbone of the company's product offering in Ireland.
