New Panda coming in February
Fiat Ireland will be launching the new generation Panda in the early spring, with first versions due towards the end of February, writes Brian Byrne.
The new car retains the style of the very successful predecessor, but is longer, taller and wider.
Engine options will include two versions of Fiat's TwinAir 2-cylinder engine, a normally-aspirated one with 65hp and a turbocharged one with 85hp, both with sub-100g/km CO2 emissions. A 1.3 diesel will also be available.
Electronic stability control will be initially an option, but becomes standard from September.
Fiat will be offering three grades initially. Prices and specifications for the Irish market have not yet been finalised.
