The Dakar Rally has been won by Stephane Peterhansel (France) and his co-Driver Jean-Paul Cottret driving a green MINI ALL4 Racing car in a time of 38h 54m 46s.
This was Peterhansel's tenth victory at the Dakar, regarded as the roughest rally in the world; he had already claimed six titles on a motorcycle, and now has four wins in the car category to his name.
MINI's Senior Vice President, Dr Kay Segler, has congratulated the pair and the entire X-raid team on their triumph.
After 14 difficult stages, the rally ended in Lima in Peru.
