Nissan to show four concepts at Geneva

Four concepts will take centre stage on the Nissan stand in Geneva next month.

Two world premiers will be announced. 'Invitation', a design set to inspire a new production model due in Europe in 2013 is one (pictured above); details of the second concept are being kept secret until the show opens.

Nissan say 'Invitation' is fun and frugal to drive, and will achieve class-leading levels of fuel efficiency and emissions. They are aiming for a sub 100g/km target for the car.

Two further concepts, both hinting at future directions for Nissan, will have their European debuts.

The first, e-NV200, (shown left) shows Nissan's next fully electric vehicle. It is based on the NV200 that can seat up to seven, and was recently chosen as the base for the next generation New York 'yellow' cab and will soon be a regular sight on the streets of The Big Apple.

The Juke NISMO Concept adds serious sporting appeal to the Juke crossover. It was first shown at the Tokyo Motor Show. The car is lower, wider and with a tougher stance than Juke. It is finished in signature Nismo colors of pearl white with red highlights.
