The 2012 Quality Hotels West Cork Rally will take place on St Patrick's Weekend, March 17 and 18, with the usual format, with stages on the Saturday and the Sunday and centralised service after every two stages.
Cork Motor Club promote the event and are delighted to have the Quality Hotel on board as title sponsor for the tenth year in a row.
The Rally HQ is the Quality Hotel in Clonakilty, Tel + 353 23 88 36400.
Over 110 entries have been received already for this, the 34th event. They include Daragh O'Riordan who was agonisingly close to winning last year as well as Peter Lloyd, John Cope, John Dalton, Kevin Kelleher, Alan Ring and Colm Murphy.
In the Citroen Racing Trophy 2012, of which the event is the first round, entries have been received to date from Andrew Hockridge, Steve Wood, David Carney and Joe McGonigle. The Quality Hotels West Cork Rally is also the first round of the Windscreen Company Southern 4 Rally Championship. There is also a Road Rally class in this year's event. The classic Group B cars in the shape of Slowly Sideways will also be back in Clonakilty in 2012 after their successful appearances in the last three years.
