An international electric vehicle conference scheduled in Dublin in July will bring together delegates from Europe, the US and China along with representatives from the car industry and EV components suppliers.
'Fully Charged' will be held on 11 July in the Convention centre Dublin. It is organised by ESB ecars, and co-hosted by the EU funded Green eMotion project. Executives from IBM, Nissan, Renault, Siemens, and the International Energy Agency will share their knowledge, latest research results and views.
A panel discussion with those responsible for ecar programmes in Estonia, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands and UK will provide delegates with an insight into the business models, consumer uptake and challenges of EV adoption. In addition, first year results from Green eMotion, the largest EU funded transport research project in Europe with a total budget of €42 million and 43 partners, will be discussed.
A range of electric cars and related EV products and solutions will be on display in the exhibition area. A number of Irish small and medium enterprises who, over the last two years, have invested in developing a range of innovative products/services for the EV market will be showcased using the umbrella Ecar Ireland brand.
Members of the public will also have the opportunity to test drive electric vehicles in Dublin city on the same day. Interested parties should register online at www.fullycharged2012.com
