We recently took the opportunity to visit the Old Midleton Distillery in the town of the same name in Co Cork, where we got a first hand experience of how they used to make whiskey in the old days.
Unfortunately, as we were driving, we weren't able to sample the end product just then. But enjoyed it that little bit more when we got home.
