Jardine and Hamilton have previously claimed numerous class wins and podium places together on national rallies. Their latest performance is a huge improvement on 2008 when they claimed 28th overall in a Skoda WRC car.
Their return was a welcome boost for the Donegal Motor Club's efforts to attract competitors to their prestige event, as this high profile media pairing attend events recognised as 'something special'.
For Hamilton, this will be his third rallying endeavour on home soil co-driving for Jardine, the voice of Radio 5 being originally from Bangor, Co Down.
