Renault Ireland celebrated the gold medal won by world champion paracyclist Mark Rohan yesterday at London 2012, writes Trish Whelan.
Thirty-one-year old Mark, a Renault Ireland Ambassador, secured Ireland's sixth gold medal yesterday in the handcycling individual time trial event at Brand's Hatch.
Rohan has already made paracycling history last summer becoming the first ever athlete to win six World Cup Gold Medals in a row. He had double Gold Medal wins in both Sydney in May 2011, and Segovia, Spain in July 2011, and a further double gold in Canada in August 2011. He is the current holder of the World Leader Jersey.
Mark will be taking part in his second event in London the individual road race tomorrow morning etween 10.30 and 12.30.
Mark drives a Renault Grand Scenic BOSE as he travels to training and competitions. All in Renault Ireland, and indeed the whole country, wish him well for tomorrow's event.
