Topaz and eircom roll out wifi

Irish motorists looking for a quick wifi internet connection can now pull in to any of the country's 110 Topaz filling stations.

In a deal with eircom, the group has established 'hot spots' in all its outlets.

Customers of eircom broadband, eMobile and Meteor can access the internet free. Others get 10 minutes free, and then for €1 have access at any station up to midnight on the same day.

There are already some 1,500 eircom hotspots around the country.
