The new Ford Fiesta Van which has just arrived in Ireland delivers class-leading fuel efficiency and segment-first technologies for both large and small businesses, writes Trish Whelan.
Engines now include the new 75hp 1.5 TDCi diesel, alongside the 95hp 1.6 TDCi diesel and 82hp 1.25 petrol units. All diesel engines achieve sub-100g/km C02 emissions and return 3.7 L/100kms (76.4mpg) or better.
In Ireland, the new Fiesta Van is available in three series, Fiesta Van (priced from €14,620), Trend Van (from €16,790); and the stylish Sport Van )priced from €18,990). Prices exclude delivery and related costs.

The practical 1.0 cubic metre load space features a secure steel bulkhead and four cargo tie-down hooks, plus a tough rubber floor mat and durable sidewall trim. With a load length of 1.3 metres and gross payload ranging from 485 - 508 kg, it can accommodate bulkier items.
Driver assist and safety features include some segment-first technologies including Ford MyKey which allows businesses to encourage safer driving and limit the driver's exposure to risk at the wheel as well as providing fleets with ownership information.
Following on from the new Transit Custom, Fiesta Van also offers the in-car connectivity system Ford SYNC. This includes Emergency Assistance which directly connects the vehicle occupants to local emergency services operators after an accident. Also onboard is Active City Stop is designed to help drivers avoid low speed collisions, alongside Hill Launch Assist, Easy Fuel and a rear view camera.
