VW reveals new SUV concept

VW CrossBlue concept

This is a VW concept SUV designed for the North American market, revealed at the Detroit International Auto SHow.

Production versions of the CrossBlue would fit between the Tiguan and Touareg and is powered by a 306hp diesel hybrid drivetrain, offering 2.1L/100km economy.

The concept was designed in Germany in close cooperation with Volkswagen of America and is built on the same MBQ platform that underpinned the Cross Coupe concept in Paris.

The CrossBlue concept is a 6-seater, but production versions would provide for 7-seat accommodation.
