Alfa Romeo has revealed details of its 4C sports car, which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show at the beginning of next month, writes Brian Byrne.
Following close to the concept shown at Geneva two years ago, the 2-seat rear-drive car will be built in a limited run of 2,500 units a year.
Power will be from a 240hp 1750cc turbocharged petrol engine, an evolution of the one in the Quadrifoglio Verde version of the Giulietta, with a dual-clutch automated transmission. The mid-mounted engine is a brand new all-aluminium unit, and the chassis is made of carbon-fibre. The car will be built at the Maserati plant in Modena.
Pricing is expected to be around €60,000.
