The new generation Audi A3 Sportback has gone on sale in Ireland at a starting point of €28,500 plus €800 dealer charges.
It is available with four engines initially, 1.4 and 1.8 TFSI petrol and 1.6 and 2.0 diesels.
A 1.2 TFSI due in April will become the entry level, priced from €26,950 plus dealer charges.
The Sportback format price represents. €1,000 premium over the hatchback.
