Audi increases sales, market share

Audi Ireland are claiming a 12.3 percent increase in sales in Ireland for the first three months of this year, writes Trish Whelan.

It represents a total market share of 5.2 percent.

The number of Audi cars registered in the first three months of this year were 2058. Of these, 515 were A4s, 480 were A6s, and 291 were A3s.

The fact that A6s have registered a decline of 11.6 percent in the quarter suggests that the A3 (+ 60.1%) and A4 (+17.7%) are taking sales from the larger car. The A3 Sportback is pictured above.
