Hyundai's new thinking for future mobility

Hyundai have revealed a unique concept for 'one person future mobility' designed for use in congested cities.

Prototypes were created by engineers at the company's research and development centre in Korea for an internal contest called the 'Idea Festival'.

Entrants included the 'E4U' egg car, one of the winning ideas (pictured). Other ideas submitted included a multi-rotor flying car powered by four electric motors and propellers which means the car can hover above the ground, keeping the driver above congestion, and a spare tyre electric bike - a spare tyre that folds out into an electric bike. It can be used if you get a puncture when traffic is heavy.

Another was a five-jointed car giving the driver great flexibility to manoeuvre around tight spaces, only needing a one metre radius to turn. It can also climb up steps!
