The new Honda CR-V has been rated one of Europe's safest cars, according to new independent crash testing results from Euro NCAP, receiving the maximum 5-star safety rating, writes Trish Whelan.
The rating system considers occupant protection, child protection, pedestrian protection and the availability of driver aids.
A 2WD 1.6 diesel CR-V outputting 120hp with manual transmission and 300Nm of torque, will go on sale this Autumn. C02 emissions will be 119g/km.
All Honda models tested by Euro NCAP have achieved this top score - Accord, Insight, Jazz, CR-Z, Civic and now the new CR-V.
