Subaru Ireland has launched the new version of the Forester at a starting price of €34,995.
The power options include 147hp 2.0 diesels and a petrol of the same capacity, all based on the Boxer opposed-four format that's a Subaru trademark.
The 150hp petrol version comes with a CVT automatic gearbox.
It's the fourth generation of the nameplate, and is responsible globally for 27 percent of the brand's sales.
It is taller, wider and longer than the outgoing car, and also has a longer wheelbase.
