Peugeot plans aggressive price for 308

Peugeot will match the price of the Ford Focus and undercut the VW Golf when it begins sales of the new 308 in Germany in the autumn, writes Brian Byrne.

The new style of the 308 is described by the brand as 'classy and sophisticated' and designed to bring Peugeot upscale from its current positioning in the segment.

The car will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
