Honda has confirmed launch pricing for their CR-V 1.6 i-DTEC 2WD SUV, writes Trish Whelan.
Arriving in Honda dealerships nationwide from 21st October, the CR-V will offer class-leading fuel economy and C02 emissions.
The 1.6 i-DTEC is the lightest engine of its type in the world, with emissions of 119g/km for annual road tax from €200. Fuel economy figures are 4.5 L/100kms, the equivalent of 62.8mpg. A full tank of diesel will deliver a range in excess of 1280 kilometres.
This is a full-size family SUV with ample room inside and with up to 1,669 litres of luggage capacity available.
Standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, one-motion folding rear seats, electric front and rear windows, alarm, USB connectivity and Daytime running lights.
Frank Kennedy, Sales Director of UniversalHonda Ltd says the new CR-V 1.6 diesel takes them 'into the core of the Irish family car market'. "We have a full-size SUV offering class -leading interior space, class-leading fuel economy and low emission tax rates so important to Irish buyers. With prices from €31,995, we expect CR-V 1.6 to not only appeal to existing owners but also to many conquest buyers when it arrives in Honda dealerships in October."
