BMW will be putting its new 2 Series on sale in March of next year,
writes Brian Byrne.
Following its new model naming system, the new car will replace the coupe version of the 1 Series, and will debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
It will be longer and wider than the current 1 Series Coupe and will also have a lower roofline.
In Germany it will cost around €3,000 more than the 1 Series hatchback. Two petrol and three diesel engines will be in the powertrain range.
