Craig Breen sets a new speed record

A new speed record was set at the National Ploughing Championships last week by rally ace Craig Breen, writes Trish Whelan.

He wasn't driving a car, though, nor even a tractor; the record was set on a F1 racing simulator at the TOTAL stand.

The Peugeot Sport driver from Waterford was watched by spectators as he completed a lap of Silverstone in just 1 minute 38 seconds, the fastest time recorded in the world over an 18 month period.

Craig smashes the record!
The racing simulator has travelled throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US this year, appearing at shows and exhibitions and has been played thousands of times. Craig's lap time has topped the lot!
Craig, Irish International Driver of the Year 2012 and Super World Rally Championship winner 2012, landed the Peugeot Sport Factory Driver title earlier this year. He is a Peugeot brand ambassador in Ireland.
