A recent survey by Behaviour & Attitudes for gadgetinsurance.com found massive growth in smart phone and tablet access and usage here in Ireland. Some 79 percent of Irish adults have a portable online device which can be used on the go. On average, Irish adults have access to three portable online devices at home. Smartphone ownership is highest amongst the 16-24 year olds with 81 percent ownership.
However, 55 percent of those surveyed said they did not currently hold insurance for any of their gadgets.
