Mondello Park has announced that Mondello.TV, the Live Streaming TV channel run by the Irish circuit, is set to go International as it crosses the Irish sea to broadcast selected races, Live from the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch, Kent, on October 26th & 27th.
Joining Mondello.TV in making its first overseas foray will be the Patch Tyre Equipment Fiesta Series, which is also in its début season. The championship, for identical 1250cc Zetec engined Ford Fiestas, has been a huge success in its first year and this success has led to an invite to race at the Formula Ford Festival. More than twenty cars and drivers are now set to make the trip for what will be a fantastic showcase for the new series.
Having broadcast all of the championships' races so far, Mondello.TV's management were keen to also cover the series first race outside Mondello Park. Following discussions with the event promoters, the BRSCC, an agreement was put in place to allow qualifying and both races for the Irish Fiestas to be shown. As part of this agreement Mondello.TV will also cover the Formula Ford Festival Final, marking the first time that this prestigious event has been broadcast live on the Internet.
The opportunity to travel to Brands Hatch is a fantastic one for the fledgling TV channel. Mondello.TV is already attracting impressive audiences from the British Isles, and all over the world, for its coverage of domestic Irish racing, but the opportunity to broadcast the Formula Ford Festival Final will increase its appeal and bring it to its largest audience yet.
Speaking about Mondello.TV moving outside of its home circuit, Mondello Park MD John Morris said, "We initially intended to stream the Patch Fiestas from Brands Hatch and when the event promoters, the BRSCC, asked us to cover the Formula Ford Festival Final, we were delighted to be able to oblige. It's a very big undertaking for us, but one we are very much looking forward to."
To catch the action from the Patch Fiesta races and the Formula Ford Festival Final, log on to www.Mondello.TV on Saturday October 26th and Sunday October 27th. The live streaming schedule will be available on the channel's web pages in the run up to the event.
