The next generation Mini Clubman will likely lose its next to useless rear-hinged side door in favour of a pair of ordinary back doors, writes Brian Byrne.
It will also be significantly longer, on a stretched version of the new UKL FWD platform developed by BMW and on which the new generation Mini was debuted yesterday.
A Mini Cooper Hatch with two rear passenger doors is also being produced, as BMW pushes to grow the Mini brand into the larger small family car market.
