Adams of Glin, Main Peugeot Dealers, Co Limerick has been crowned Peugeot Dealer of the Year 2013. Dealer Principals, Sean Adams and Shane Adams were presented with their award at the annual Peugeot Dealer Conference in Dublin recently, writes Brian Byrne.
The Adams of Glin garage business started in the 1930s. Sean Adams commissioned his first purpose-built garage in the 1960s. Along with repairs, he started to sell cars of all makes. In 1968, he acquired the Peugeot franchise. In 2002 Adams of Glin undertook a major redevelopment of their site which involved the demolition of the old premises and the construction of a new shop, forecourt, an 8-bay workshop, new parts Departments and an 11-car showroom.
In 2013, the dealership celebrated 45 years with the Peugeot franchise making it the longest serving Peugeot Dealer in Ireland. This year also marks their celebration of over 75 years involved in the servicing and selling of motor vehicles, placing Adams of Glin as one of the longest serving motor dealer groups in Limerick and Kerry. They currently employ 25 staff.
