Munster Stars in driving SEAT for 2014

SEAT today presented Munster stars Donncha O'Callaghan, James Coughlan and Doug Howlett with all new SEAT Alhambra cars, writes Trish Whelan. The presentations took place at Blackrock Castle Observatory in Cork, ahead of their clash with Toulouse in the quarter-final of the Heineken Cup this weekend.

The players became SEAT brand ambassadors last year  when SEAT became the official car partner to Munster Rugby.

The new seven-seat Alhambra comes with up to 2,340 litres of space, optional automatic sliding doors, and a range of sporty engines. It's also big on safety with seven airbags and other advanced safety features that have helped it gain a maximum 5-star Euro NCAP rating. Prices start at €38,995.

Cian O'Brien, Director of SEAT Ireland says 'to have three top class Munster representatives as SEAT ambassadors is huge for our brand'.

The car partnership deal between SEAT and Munster Rugby has already afforded the brand a high level of visibility with permanent car displays in Thomond Park as well as pitch signage. This increased level of visibility has been borne out by SEAT enjoying a remarkable 2013, finishing the year with a 62 percent increase in sales and a 3 percent market share.
