New SKODA Superb L&K flagship model

SKODA Ireland has just released its most luxurious SKODA model to date, the new flagship Superb Laurin & Klement, priced from €36,415-€43,815, writes Trish Whelan.

The car has rear legroom able to match, and better, that of most luxury saloons.

Named after the founders of SKODA, Václav Klement and Václav Laurin, these days Laurin & Klement is reserved for the highest grade models in the range. This one comes with a powerful 2.0 170bhp TDI diesel engine whether you choose manual, DSG or 4x4 variants.

Standard equipment is impressive with 18-inch alloy wheels with a silver and black design, the L&K logo on the door inserts, on the exterior and on the leather seats, and embroidered into the seat backrests. There are heated seats front and rear, Park Assist, the high-end Columbus Sat-Nav with 'Canton' surround sound with 10 loudspeakers, Climatronic dueal-zone air conditioning, keyless entry, Bi-Xenon lights and rear LED lights.

SKODA's Ray Leddy says the Czech carmaker is one of the oldest car manufacturers in the world, existing for almost 110 years now. Once one of the world's most prestige car brands, Laurin & Klement built their reputation early in the last century by supplying large luxurious limousines supplied to royalty all over the world.

There will be further models with this specification arriving in the coming months.
